Lost but Found

Mischievous, no doubt you are.

Mismatched teeth, one big, one small,

Pint-sized toes on thin, lanky legs

Heaven-sent lashes, most certain a doll.

Who gave you the choice?

Who gave you the say?

No one, that’s who.

It just happened this way.

So what is the answer?

What makes it go?

A million questions you ask,

Does God make it flow?

Why yes whippersnapper!

In fact He does,

He also made you,

 Created  to be loved.

Then why so hard?

When does it end?

Where is this God?

That doesn’t stop sin?

He dwells in your heart,

He lives in your mind,

Your spirit is home,

For Him to abide.

You took what was dealt,

And turned it around,

A life once lost,

Now a life that is found.

Ornery, who cares?

Admirable while brave,

Breaking the cycle,

Not even dismayed.

Made in His likeness,

You were destined to be,

A thanksgiving no less,

To them and to me.

I am Rachel. I have a skewed sense of reality and I like to live through my imagination. Unfortuntely, that has taken me down some rocky roads and I am here to share some snippets of what happens when a girl has a mind of her own.
